<description>Unfortunately many of the press reports got the facts swapped around a bit. The original MANOI, designed for Kyosho by Takahashi of Robo Garage, has been renamed the MANOI PF01. Originally scheduled to start shipping this summer, it ran into production problems and the release is now being quoted for November. Kyosho still hasn’t released any pricing or projected volumes for the PF01.

The model pictured above is the new AT01. While it uses the same servos and controller as the PF01, it’s much lighter, faster, and designed specifically to be modified and customized by owners. The AT01 body shells are polycarbonate just like the Kyosho RC cars. AT01 shipments will start with a beta release to early customers in August followed by commercial shipments in September. The quoted Japanese list price is 147,000 yen (about USD$1,300) and the first production build is 3,000 units.
